Description

Give your corms a clean, stable place to sprout 🌱

This corm riser is designed specifically for propagating Alocasia corms using small square containers. The elevated platform keeps the corm suspended just above the waterline, providing the humidity and moisture it needs while reducing the risk of rot from direct water contact.

I originally designed a clover-themed version, but I personally prefer the look of square containers. This version was created to fit them perfectly and features a simple geometric grid design that provides excellent support and airflow.

Two riser heights are included. The standard version is designed for direct water propagation, while the taller version is the same as my ‘lucky corm riser’ and is optimized for growers who prefer adding a layer of biochar (or similar substrate) beneath the riser.

🖨️ Printing Recommendations

Material: PETG (recommended)

PETG is ideal because it:

  • Handles constant moisture well
  • Resists becoming brittle over time
  • Provides better durability in humid environments

The model is designed to print without supports. I prefer using a smooth plate, as such dense hexagon designs stick better better to it, but works on others as well.

Material usage: Approximately 1.5g of filament per riser.

The design may also work with similar containers, but fitment is optimized for the linked ones.
