Overview

Our Lady Undoer of Knots joins the Our Lady Keychain Collection as a flat, two-color devotional keychain designed for clean FDM printing.

This keychain is made for keys, backpacks, zipper pulls, rosary bags, rearview mirror charms, or anywhere you want a small reminder of prayer, patience, and untangling life’s messes. Basically, the spiritual version of finding the end of a filament spool tangle without losing your mind.

The model measures approximately 75 mm at its longest point and is 3 mm thick, giving the raised details enough room to show clearly while still keeping the keychain practical for everyday use.

History of the Object

Our Lady Undoer of Knots is a Marian devotion based on the image of Mary untangling a knotted ribbon, symbolizing her intercession in helping untangle problems, struggles, and difficult situations in life.

The devotion became especially well known through a Baroque painting associated with Augsburg, Germany. This version is a simplified 3D-printable keychain interpretation, not a full replica of the original painting.

Supports & Removal Notes

• Supports: Not needed when printed flat.
• Print orientation: Lay flat on the build plate.
• Size: Approximately 75 mm at its longest point.
• Thickness: 3 mm thick.
• Color style: Designed for a two-color raised-detail print.
• Nozzle: A 0.4 mm nozzle should work, but a 0.2 mm nozzle may capture finer detail better.
• Build plate: A smooth plate can help give the front face a cleaner finish.

Be careful removing the print from the plate, especially around the top keychain loop, hands, ribbon, knot details, robe lines, and any thin raised areas. The ribbon details are small, so do not attack it with a scraper like it personally offended you.

• This is a decorative keychain, not a load-bearing clip or tool.
• Not intended for pets or young children.
• If scaling smaller, the ribbon, knots, hands, face, and robe details may lose definition.
• If scaling larger, check the keyring hole size before printing.
• For better durability, use enough top and bottom layers and avoid weak settings around the loop and small raised details.
