Description
This is my very first model bass guitar to enter my collection. I have made this as a request from a fan who goes by Tommytown. He has a friend playing this Left handed model of the Fender Jazz Bass. I also made a Right handed equivalent of this bass guitar. There should be two profiles posted. I only printed the left handed model. The right handed model is an exact copy of the lefts profile, so it should come out with the same results.
This model also has a first for any of my models. For any guitar model normally I use 0.25mm fishing line, because to scale the strings are very small. However, for the bass guitar since the strings are so much bigger. I decided to use the 3D printer to make strings. I think the result turned out quite nicely. In order to make them fit in the pegs slot. I used a hobby knife to carefully enlarge the slot by slicing away material within the slotted area.
I do take requests for guitar models. It does often take me a while to get around to finish them. This one I think he will be pleased with the end result. Now he can print his buddy a miniature replica.
