Description
In 1979, while filming a commercial for Maxell cassettes, photographer Steve Steigman took a photo titled BLOWN AWAY GUY, which became an icon of '80s pop culture because it represents the immersive power of music.
I really like this photo, almost always depicted in black and white. I have a poster in my room, I even had the photo printed on a T-shirt, and now I've created the 3D model.
I used MakerLab to obtain a first model from the original photo, which helped me a lot, but I couldn't use that result directly (the photo is taken in such a way that the depth isn't easily perceived by AI... for example, I got a person with two shoes and only one leg :D ).
So I used the same software but on photos of the Le Corbusier LC2 armchair, which I then remodeled by separating the steel frame.
Apart from the JBL speaker, I built the remaining objects.
Finally, I decided to use a standard Dummy 13, scaled to 150%, with separate parts so I could choose the colors for each part: all black except for the face, hands, shirt, and cuffs. Then I added sunglasses ( https://makerworld.com/it/models/1839011-dummy-13-glasses?from=search#profileId-1964486) and the claw hands from this set: https://makerworld.com/it/models/2630890-dummy-13-extra-hands-pack-100-225?from=search#profileId-2905044
I used black filament to build the cables behind the speaker and the cord coming out of the lamp.
I haven't created the floor and the background wall with the high skirting board yet.
