Description
So the popular biltema kylklamp is sold out so i decided to try to make on in petg after a friend asked me if it was possible.
I drew and designed it so it has internal structure to keep it from bowing if only filed with water.
Print in PETG or TPU, mine was more or less watertight but i would encourage to increase the flow 2-4% to ensure no leaks.
Fill with water top the botton of the thread so it has room to expand.
Do a watermix of 2 parts water with one part isopropnanol or TRÖD
OR one third dishsoap, this will make so the mixture turns into a halfrozen slushie and keep cool longer. if you have very small leaks i would wrap it in a small pappertowl thats damp and freeze that first and then fill it so the “leaks” are frozen before the freeze.
Let me know if you want the model adjusted to fit carriers better.
Also there is a TPU gasket you can print to make the top more “water” proof once its thawed out
Keep in mind, if you increase the flow value to lets say 1.1 or even 1.2 under filaments. this means that the screw top will probably need to be shrunk to 95-94 in order to fit in the hole after since we are adding more material to the body and mating surface for the screw and threads.
IF nothing else use a lighting and gently heat up the screw so it forms after the new threads a few seconds are more then enough
