Description

Hi. Presenting You a Stackable Display Case!

This is evolution of my Single version of Display Case:

On this Version You can make Your Display Case as wide as You want. No Supports Needed. All You need to do is to print and assemble using a little bit of Glue. Optionally you can get it all together without glueing some parts (preferably using at least a sticky tape or double sided tape) to leave it open for further transform.

As for a glass for this project I have used these Acrylic Sheets from UK Amazon:

5x7inch and 1mm thick.

Use on this Display Case exactly these ones or ones with the same dimensions.

Inside dimensions of the case are 7x5in (177.8x127mm) with FLAT Bottom Base
and
7.39x5in (187.8x127mm) with HOLLOWED Bottom Base

ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Print out Bottom Bases as much as You need and print proper amount of Bottom Base Connection Pins.
  • Pour a bit of Glue on the Connection Pins and stick them into sockets in a Base
  • Stick Bottom Bases together using a litle of glue on Pins and Base sides
  • Stick Corner and Middle Support Pillars into proper sockets in a builded Bottom Base prior adding a little bit of glue into sockets. Just be careful and leave open ends of Middle Support Pillars on the top side as those openings will be used to slide in glass. Right way to put them is as shown on next pictures:
  • Prepare Full Top Support Bracket by sticking Together Top Support Brackets using Top Support Bracket Pins and Glue
  • Slide in all Glass (real or plastic ones) in place. This can be a bit tricky depending on accuracy of Your Printer. Glass parts should fit just fine. But it is possible that you will need to clean a bit grove in the Base if Window Glass will not want to stick fully in.
  • Put on Your builded Top Support Bracket dripping a small drop of a glue on each Middle and Corner Support Pillar tops. It is possible that it won't be as easy as it looks, but should be ok. Just I would suggest to try to do it without a glue first.
  • DONE. All You have left to do is to put Display Case in place, fill it with your Figures/Models or whatever you want and put Lids On (Solid or Windowed ones).

Additional instruction how to assemble a Windowed Top LID.

  1. Cut Your Transparent panel to size of 5x5in to fit a slot in Top Clear Top Part of the LID.
  2. Place Transparent panel into a Slot

  3. Pour a Glue all over the perimeter of Top Clear Top or Top Clear Bottom part of the LID

  4. Put both parts together and use some clamps or weight to keep them firmly together for better bound
