Description
The original rubbery grip of my Faber-Castell Grip Plus Ball ballpoint pen was getting old and sticky, and as it deteriorated it started to become less and less comfortable to hold. Hence, I decided to design and print a replacement.
The grip showcased in the pictures was printed in Bambu Lab PLA Matte with fuzzy skin enabled (see attached print profiles), and while not having the same rubbery feel as the original it is still pretty comfortable to hold. It might be worth experimenting with some TPU filament, but I do not have any at the moment.
The model is parametric, so feel free to adjust any parameter to your liking. In particular, the STL and both the print profiles I uploaded were exported with a tolerance of 0.19mm. It fits quite tightly on the pen to avoid slipping, but while iterating the design I also tested a 0.2mm tolerance, and it also fitted without any play.
