Dragon Balls (parametric)

Summary:

A model of Dragon Balls of the Dragon Ball manga. Parametric in balls diameter and star size.

Model Description:

In the honor of the recently deceased Akira Toriyama legendary mangaka, creator of (amongst others) the Dragon Ball manga that this model references. Rest in Peace (05/04/55 - 01/03/24), you leave a void but shall be eternal through your legacy.

That you would like to print the dragon balls of earth, namek, …, or even the super dragon balls you can do this by changing the parameters of the fusion360 file. You can change the balls diameters, the star sizes and their tolerances.

Printing Information:

• Balls:
  • Split the balls model into its parts and print each ball individually.
  • Spheres are always tricky to print (no perfect solution). I recommend having the stars on the side and using tree supports to support them and the base.
  • Depending on the weight you want, you can, for example, use lightning infill to not waste too much filament inside.
• Stars:
  • I recommend printing each star group individually (without further splitting them) to keep their position in mind for easy assembly.
• Use a random seam.
