Description
I was trying to teach my son how to do top spin on table tennis. Wanted something to hold the ball in place so he could practice his stroke repeatedly. I dont have a robot, so this was my idea to provide him a consistent ball location
Features
Tee is perfectly designed for locating the 40mm ball. Ball position is 110 mm off the table surface, so the ball is full below the net, forcing the trainee to lift the ball with top spin. I tested various thickness and profiles to provide clearance to the racket, so that it wont crash into the tee.
Advanced players dont need to print the clamp as the can cleanly pick the ball off the tee. My son however needs the table clamp. The table clamp is designed to work with apron depth from 50-75 mm. C clamp has pin location for easy clamping in place
Printing
Tee - recommend 50% infill for PLA to have sufficient strength, print standing up with no supports
C clamp parts - 30% infill, can be printed on one plate
