PV Inverter Cooling Station

It is a universal ventilation system for all inverters that need additional cooling or you just want to make its life longer and lower its temperature. The individual fans can be infinitely connected together to create whatever width you need. At the end you can attach your own design controller for example. You can print and stick stickers on the edges. Don't forget to mirror flip the second one in the slicer. It's not a solution only for inverters, but for anything it can be used for.

 

I've made variations for the most common PC fan types (80x80, 92x92, 120x120, 140x140) and for their different heights. If anyone needs any atypical size feel free to contact me.

 

The upper ventilation grilles are held magnetically (6x2mm) so they can be easily removed at any time for cleaning purposes. The connection of the sections is solved with M3x8 screws and nuts. There are holes in the back of each bracket for M3 nuts to attach the electronics box or whatever you need to add.

On the bottom of the bracket there are holes for 6x2mm magnets to attach any filter if it is magnetic. Or you can simply bolt it to the fan using its screws. Back three same holes are used to mount bracket to wall.

 

Personally, my internal inverter temperature dropped from 58°C to 46°C with 3x140mm Arctic fans. I personally read the inverter temperature via RS485 Modbus and control the fans with Loxone and DMX.

Printing requirements

No supports, 3 and more perimeters, 15% infill, 0.2mm layer. Flow grill must be printed grill on plate position.
PETG or whatever you want, but remember, they are big models, so print slowly and always use heat resistant filaments (PLA is not your option).
