Description
The intent of this collection is educational -to stimulate interest and learning in microbiology / health sciences especially among younger students. If there is interest I will create additional examples of different microbes such as viruses and fungi.
Each coasters base has a QR code that will take you to the CDC Website for details about the disease caused by these bacteria.
The coasters were created in HueForge-these are very high magnification “Scanning Electron Microscope” images of these bacteria that are in the public domain and sourced from NIH and CDC image archives.
The base with QR code was created with Bambu Maker Lab.
(Powered by MakerWorld-Make My Sign https://makerworld.com/makerlab/makeMySign)
The coaster fits inside the base and is a snug fit by design- you will have to use some force. However once in will stay put. CA glue is not needed but may be used if you don’t want it to spin in the base.
All printed in PLA with 0.4 mm nozzles. Hue Forge coasters have to be printed at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm. Each Coaster has different filament colors and swap instructions-please look at the printing and assembly guide,
Tested on A1Mini and Bambu X1C. AMS not essential- can be printed with pause and filament swap on any printer. 11 plates - with each model on its own plate.
I have also included an optional custom stand /holder
Please see attached documentation for assembly guide printing instructions especially for HueForge which are specific and different for each coaster.
Comments/suggestions are welcome.
