Description
These are wheel/tire inserts for Injora 64*24mm Rock Terrain Crawler tire on MofoRC DDP 1.0" rims designed to be printed in TPU-87A.
I've used FlubRC SlymeBallz before and they're a great improvement over the stock foams when the rig starts to get heavier but i was never 100% satisfied with them so i've designed my own.
These further improve sidehilling and side stability aswell as understeering. They have a two stage design with the first stage providing a nice squish over objects and edges while the second harder stage provides stability and predictabilty which is further improved by the symetric design.
The insert has an outer diameter of 58mm and a width of 19mm so maybe it works with smaller tires aswell but i havent tested that.
The inner diameter is 29.2mm to have slight press fit on the MofoRC rims which have an outer ring diameter of 29.5mm.
I strongly suggest to print them in TPU-87A because the spoke design and the cutouts were designed to work and behave with this softness in mind, harder filaments are not flexible enough, I've tested them in TPU-91A which was already too hard for the inserts to work correct.
No brimm or support needed but you will get a lot of stringing because of the design.
Wall generator needs to be set to Arachne or it wont be able to slice the fine lines correct.
For reference, the C10 in the picture weights about 600g with a 60/40 weight distribution.
Added stl, step and Fusion 360 files in case anyone wants to change something.
