Power Pen - Rim Shot Replica
Created to be used with the Bambulab plastic balls present in the "Marble Run Components Kit - 003" or buyed separatly.

Remember the magic of transforming pens called “PowerPenz”? I do! The Rim Shot was my favorite: a pen that transformed into a pocket-sized basketball hoop. Those afternoons spent shooting hoops will forever hold a special place in my heart.

With this project, I wanted to bring back that joy by creating a 3D replica of my beloved Rim Shot. Despite my limited modeling skills, I tried to stay true to the original aesthetics and ensure that the pen could be used with a classic “BIC”. The most challenging part was transforming everything into a single compact block when closed, but in the end, I think that managed to achieve a satisfactory result.

I hope this project can bring back the excitement of playing with such a special pen to many children. I'm open to any suggestions to improve it!


IMPORTANT: The joints and hinges have been made narrow to give the components more solidity once the pen is closed.

ASSEMBLY GUIDE

Creata per essere utilizzata assieme alle sfere di plastica Bambulab presenti nel "Marble Run Components Kit - 003" o acquistate separatamente.

Ricordi la magia delle "Strapenne"? Io sì! La Rim Shot era la mia preferita: una penna che si trasformava in un vero e proprio canestro da basket tascabile. Quei pomeriggi passati a lanciare le palline e a fare canestri mi sono rimasti nel cuore.

Con questo progetto, ho voluto riportare alla luce quella gioia, creando una replica 3D della mia amata Rim Shot. Nonostante le mie limitate capacità di modellazione, ho cercato di rimanere fedele all'estetica originale e di garantire che la penna potesse essere utilizzata con una classica “BIC”. La parte più impegnativa è stata trasformare il tutto in un unico blocco compatto quando chiuso, ma alla fine credo di essere riuscito a ottenere un risultato soddisfacente.

Spero che questo progetto possa far rivivere a tanti bambini l'emozione di giocare con una penna così speciale. Sono aperto a qualsiasi suggerimento per migliorarla!

IMPORTANTE: Gli incastri e le cerniere sono stati realizzati stretti per dare più solidità ai componenti una volta chiusa la penna.
