Description

Centrifugal Secret Box - Magnetic Lock

YouTube Short

This hexagon shaped Trick-Box has an unique close/opening mechanism.

If you close the lid, the magnets catch the locking pins and the box is locked.

The only way to open the box is to spin the thing with the handle and quickly lift the lid while its spinning.

Give this trick box to someone and they will despair trying to open it.😁

Optional Spinning Handle:

I added an optional print in place Spinning Handle to 3rd Plate. In this case you hold the handle and spin the box on the side. Let me know in the comments which you like more.

Spinning Handle

Assembly:

YouTube Assembly Short

For assembly you need the printed parts from both build-plates and 6pcs Ø4x2 magnets

  1. Push all magnets with the same pole orientation in the 3x inner and the 3x outer pins

Tip: Mark the magnets before, lay them on the table and press the pins over.

  2. Take the 3 “Outer pins” and push them in the 3 holes from the box. They must move freely!
  3. Take the other 3 pins and glue them to the inner holes of the lid.
  4. Push the handle into the center of the lid.
  5. Glue the little Spinning Center Pin under the box
