Description
* Latest update - I changed the pegs to snap joints so they slot together much nicer.
Â
*UPDATED DESIGN - I added joins to the plates so they slot together. I also fixed some issues and made it so only supports are necessary for the joins and one corner of the top left plate. Plates also print slightly quicker now and use a lot less filament and they're larger.
Each plate also has edge pieces now, each plate has side and corner pieces which all slot together.*
Â
This is my first ever design like this and first ever upload to MakerWorld so any constructive critism is welcome please!
Â
I'd suggest using variable layer height to really get the print time down, also to use minimal bottom layers as this will really reduce filament usage and will make the tiles lighter and easier to stick on the wall.
Â
I reduced the infill down as much as I felt like I could to save on filament and print time, however if anyone can further reduce the filament use and print time, please have a crack at it.
Â
This catacombs style wall tile is 4 different tiles on 4 plates (230mm x 230mm). Each tile fits perfectly next to each other and can create an endless wall with them. The edge tiles are 230mm x 115mm and corner tiles are 115mm x 115mm.
Â
Printed in ESUN PLA+ Bone White. No post processing done in the pictures.
