Description
A slim two piece case for Raspberry Pi Pico and Pico W that snaps together. Includes case cutouts for both the Pico and Pico W debug pad locations.
The top part of the case has cutouts to allow wires to pass through the top. The boot select button can be pressed with your finger using the flexible case cutout button. The on-board LED can be seen through the cutout in the top.
The bottom part of the case has cutouts that are larger (than the top cutouts) to accommodate standard pin headers that you may soldier on yourself. Please Note: The factory-installed headers as seen on recent Pico WH models will not fit as they include a larger plastic frame on the bottom of the Pico.
The thin section of case between the Pico W debug header and the header pins is ~0.359 mm wide, so be sure to print this with a line width of no greater than 0.35 mm if you want that feature to print. This can be done with the stock 0.4mm nozzle, but will be higher quality with a 0.2mm nozzle. The samples in the photos were printed with the 0.4mm nozzle that is so popular.
The top case could not accommodate pin headers because the larger cutouts that are needed would compromise the structure of the thin and slim case, I tried, decisions were made. I gave priority to keeping the overall dimensions as small as possible without compromising the overall rigidity.
I spent about a dozen hours tweaking the design, and tossed about a dozen test prints before uploading this. I hope you enjoy using this case as much as I do.
