Modular Airbrush Spray Shield

Hello everyone, I hope you find this project useful!

Introduction

I wanted to design a printable version of an ‘Airbrush Spray Booth’ to control overspray when painting models etc. I didn't see anything like I had in mind on this site or others so I set out to model something aesthetically pleasing, based on a standard hobby filter and easily obtainable fan(s). I think that has been basically accomplished, though it's not so much of a booth as a shield, not sure this matters much if you have good airflow and aren't painting at a steep angle.

Requirements

• Requires a fan and filter for proper operation:
  • Fan: 4-inch inline duct fan, recommended 100 - 300 CFM (I used a Hon&Guan brand, 130 CFM - ~$25 on Amazon). You can use other fans of course as long as you adapt it to the 98.6mm inside dia. outlet of the system.  *Fans with an outside diameter greater than 4-inches may not directly connect to the system and allow it to sit at its normal resting position.
  • Fiberglass filter: 16 x 7.25 x 1 inches, cut in half (I used airbrush master brand to good effect, i tried cheaper filters and they were flimsy and next to worthless).

Other Important Info

• Please use PETG for the shields if they will be in any sort of heat, PLA warped and deformed on me quickly in the garage. Also, as the shields connect to the manifold via brick-style connectors I recommend PETG on both of those so the connection doesn't deform.
• Please use proper PPE and vent the exhaust to the outside when using the system!
• Note: the filter housing and end cap plates are set to smooth, all others are set to textured.
• Please refer to the assembly manual included below for help in assembly, it seems simple but can be a bit wonky getting it all buttoned up.
