Description
This is a tripod I designed as a project to learn how to create print in place parts. All of the moving joints are print in place. The only thing required to make the tripod is some ½" diameter wooden dowels. Also, I would recommend using a metal hex head ¼" - 20 bolt instead of the printed one for durability. Make the tripod any size you want by modifing the dowel lengths. If you want the size I made you will need (6) 18", (3) 4" and (1) 14" dowels. The folding legs are optional. If you are making a shorter tripod you don't need them. If you do use them be aware that the folding hinge is the weakest part of the print, so be careful when assembling that part. I did use some glue on the leg to main hub assembly. Wooden dowels can vary in diameter and some light sanding may be needed. You should be able to figure out the assembly process by looking at the pictures, but Im open to questions if you have problems with it.
