Embracing 3D printing opens up a world of customization. Here are some ideas to make the most of your QuickSnap Hook:

Liability Disclaimer: Please use common sense/caution when hanging heavy objects. Depending on exact filament and printing parameters used your hook may have different strength tolerances. I'm not responsible for ensuring your printed hook holds a certain weight.

 

Printing

Print in PETG or whatever filament you desire, but be aware of possible limitations of certain filaments like PLA that might creep over time under high loads. Print 1 hook, one pin, one cotter pin/clip, and one mount per set. The pre-arranged plates have 2 mount options for each hook size so you can choose which you want.

Assembly

After printing, assembly is easy:

1. Insert the hook into the mount to align the mount holes and the hook hole as shown.
2. Insert the pivot pin, and lock in place with the printable cotter pin. The other side of the pivot pin is flared so it does not need to be secured.
   1. Alternatively you may use, if you desire, a bit of a twist tie, a bit of filament, or even a twisted metal paperclip. The printed cotter clip is my “all printed” solution, and since this part does not need to bear any significant load, it does not need to be strong… just needs to keep the pin from slipping out.
