Description
After yet another bead snapped on my 21st attempt at welding with a soldering iron in the dark, I threw this one-of-a-kind auto-dimming helmet across the room. Although it miraculously came out unscathed, one of the battery-holding brackets had mysteriously vanished into the abyss. Instead of searching for the battery holder in what could have been Narnia, I decided to spend the next seven days in my basement, mutinously handcrafting a replacement out of wood. On the seventh day and the 49th broken bracket, I realized that I could design this file in Fusion 360 and print it on the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer. I spent the next two hours, not eating or sleeping, clicking and scrolling away until this bad boy emerged from the printer.
In case it’s not clear, I know very little about welding or how this bracket disappeared, but I do have a good understanding of designing parts for 3D printing. I hope you never lose one of these brackets while moving, like my friend did. But if you do, please enjoy this incredibly quick replacement print that only takes about 2 grams of material.
