Description
I present you with the latest in my Little Ships Collection; the USS Enterprise-C in 1:2800 scale. This is the same scale as my USS Enterprise, USS Enterprise-B and Enterprise-D models so that you can get a feel for the size difference between ships. I've always loved the design of the 1701-C as well as the story of her epic last stand (If you'd like to see my design for the Romulan Warbirds that the 1701-C faced off against, take a look at my IRW Fate Bringer model).
For consistency with my other Enterprises, I used Bambu PLA Basic Bronze. Although personally, I feel the PLA Basic Bronze is perfect for this model, you can easily print in your flavor of silk filament to recreate that scene from First Contact ("you broke your little ships…)
The Enterprise-C and D are a bit front heavy, so to keep the base size without the model tipping over, I reduced the infill in the saucer.
Assembly is much easier this time around; the ship prints in two pieces with three connecting pegs. All of these pegs are the same and should be glued into place with the “T” facing upwards. NOTE: The pegs are to make it easier to glue the two sides without being slanted. The pegs will NOT hold the ship together without glue.
