Description
The PLA connectors are designed to assemble aluminum rods with a 10 mm outer diameter, offering a lightweight, sturdy, and highly customizable solution. Five types of connectors are available, each suited for different configurations:
Two-way connector: ideal for simple linear or angular joints.
Three-way connector: used for 3D nodes or "T"-shaped structures.
Four-way connector: perfect for orthogonal intersections in cubic or lattice structures.
Five-way connector: designed for complex configurations with multiple connection directions.
Six-way connector: suitable for high-stability 3D structures, such as central joints.
Post-processing:
After printing, it might be necessary to slightly refine the inner edge of the connector for an optimal fit with the rods. However, in most cases, the tolerances are precise enough to avoid this step. If required, it is recommended to use a fine file to perfect the edge without damaging the structure.
Printing Recommendations:
To achieve strong and well-defined connectors, it is recommended to use tree supports during printing. This type of support allows for easy removal and reduces material consumption while maintaining the quality of internal surfaces and connection holes. You can also orient the piece differently for printing.
