Description
Inspired by another model that I wasn't quite happy with, I realized that the charging station for the Wyze robot vacuum is not straight-walled. A few moments with my calipers gave me the angle so I made a collar that sits on the top of the base at that angle. It provides ¾" (19mm) spacing off the wall, so your dummy vacuum won't push it's charging stand over far enough to cause it to be unable to charge.
Just for funsies I made up two versions - one with a simple cutout of the logo and one with a multi-material logo.
Converted from the attached STEP files, the mesh was created at high resolution so almost all the walls print in either straight lines or nice, clean arc commands. The presence of a tiny bit of sparse infill is on purpose to provide a little more rigidity in the arms.
Count von Sucksalot, Esq. has backed in to the charging dock multiple times and the print has held steady and he's begun charging every time. Much improved from before when he'd ram in to it and knock it back so the top charging pad wouldn't make contact!
PS: I have painted on but disabled some mouse-ear brims. If you typically have adhesion problems with your prints, please turn these on as shown.
