Description
Just because they're from another world doesn't mean they can't celebrate Earthly traditions! --- Introducing a new Rejected Animal : Zørp-O'-Lantern --- Printing Guidelines This amicable alien prints in several parts that are glued together for a clean and colorful result. It was designed to be printable without supports, although the body.stl part in particular can be quite tricky... I personally had to use PrusaSlicer's 'Organic Supports' to get a clean print. Brims can also be useful for print bed adhesion. A small layer height will help capture all the details, but overall your standard print settings should work fine. Here's what I used: - 0.08-0.12mm layer height- 2-3 shells- 10% infill- 5 top/bottom layers I also like using PrusaSlicer's Seam Painting feature to hide the seams along the back of the model. I modeled this to be as small as possible while still being printable. Feel free to scale up as you please! --- Assembly I used [E6000 adhesive](https://amzn.to/3PMOng2) to glue all the parts together, but cyanoacrylate works too if you prefer a quick-setting adhesive. The legs have a relatively loose fit so you can change the position to give Zørp your desired stance. You can also turn the head, and change the orientation of the stem. --- Photographed model was printed using Polymaker PolyTerra Matte PLA (US direct), except for the eyes which are Fillamentum Luminous Yellow Extrafill PLA (20% off with MAKEANYTHING20 thru 2023), also available through MatterHackers.
