Description

If you are one of those, who printed dummy 13 in large scale, you'd probably used “Dummy 13 Joints+” model.  If so, this model is for you.

Problem:

Printing Dummy 13 skeleton in large scale will probably force you to use joints+, that are more flexible that original. This flexibility is needed to assemble robot without cracking details. But with time, due to plastic physical  properties, joints become loose.

I faced that issue and tried to create solution - inserts for joints+.

Solution:

To make joints stronger I've created model of inserts, that match holes in joints and makes them stiffer.

You'l find 2 models: initial and repair

Initial inserts

- matches newly printed joints and should make them stronger. They are split in two parts, so you can insert them after joint assembled. Could be inserted easily by hands.

Repair  insert

 - for using when your joints become loose. It's one part and curved to create force on joint. Hands force isn't enough to insert them, so, us tools or your weight. After installation, deep joint in hot water, so your joint became softer and probably will be fixed.

Important:
- Print with PETG or even stronger plastic. Use 100% infill.
- Parts are in 500% scale, rescale them if you need.

If that doesn't help - sorry, a've done my best. You still can try hot air :)

Please, leave feedback. I'd love to know, does it work for you or no.
