The insert that came with the game bugged me to no end, so here it is: my version of the Teotihuacan Deluxe Master Set insert!
I also have the 5th Player Expansion, so there are a few extra components.
I hate wasting plastic, so I tried to use the original insert as much as possible. The original player tray was the only tray I discarded.
- I replaced the original player tray with 5 separate tray sets for 5 players. Each comes with a base layer, where you can store all the expansion components, and a top layer for base game components, along with a sliding lid. No support is needed when printing the base tray.
- Technology Tray and Setup Tray: I couldn’t fit all 5 sets of reference tech tiles and the wooden tiles into the given space, so I did something even better (in my opinion): the fifth set of reference tech tiles can be stored in the setup tray. This is perfect for setting up: we can just take all 23 reference tiles in the setup tray, shuffle them, and randomly select 6 tiles for the game—no need to reach for the large tech tray. There are slots for everything in the setup tray. For the tech tray, there is a labeled version and an unlabeled version. Just need to pick one.
- The Solo Tray should contain everything related to solo play. The stack of 9 Teotibot tiles can serve as a large lid for the solo tray.
- The Orange Temple Reference Tiles Tray can be used during the game: you can place the tray directly on top of the orange temple's benefit space. You’ll need to print the large tray twice.
- The 4 altar tiles (Module 8) are kept in the card slot. You can also place them in the bottom tray if you prefer. There should be plenty of room.
- For the spacer, there is a slot that would keep the pyramid frame from sliding around.
Please let me know if you encounter any issues. I’m open to all comments and opinions. Thank you very much for checking out my model. Happy printing!
