Description
This rapid-fire blowgun features a loading mechanism and magazine that holds up to 6 slugs used as ammo. Just pull the tube end forward and then back to load the next slug and then fire away. It works best by building up pressure in your mouth with your tongue against the roof of your mouth, and then quickly releasing the air with your tongue.
Printing
The long tube prints on end, but to keep the diameter accurate as the tube gets taller, I've included a break-away conical stabilizer. After printing, just remove the stabilizer cone and brim from the tube. The magazine/mouthpiece also has a built-in breakaway support.
All pars are printed in PLA with 0.2mm layers.
Assembly
Before assembling, make sure the slugs can slide freely through the tube. You can use a long, thin rod of some sort to scrape away any lumps you may have inside the tube. (If necessary, you can also scale down the slugs by 0.5-1.0%). The tube slips straight into the magazine/mouthpiece by flexing up on the catch arm. The fit may be a little snug, so work the tube in and out until it is fairly smooth.
The blowgun uses slugs for ammo. They just pop into the magazine as shown, and there is a little interference bump that keeps the slugs from popping back out of the magazine.
