Transformers Beast Wars Protoform Ver. 2

And to complete the look, together with our earlier Beast War spark and stasis pod – here’s a newer and sleeker version of the Protoform!

Largely modelled based on screen reference, the protoform lies quietly awaiting activation and scanning of an alt mode. The spark nested safely in its torso belies the boundless potential of the yet-to-be-formed bot inside!

Given how this would be mostly lying stationary in the pod, we’ve kept the back portion quite simple.

And again, this has been scaled to fit nicely inside the stasis pod (from earlier!)

A fairly straightforward kit, here’s a diagram showing the parts of this build and how they are meant to fit together.

Note that the spark, being as intricate a piece as it is, would probably turn out better via resin printing. It’s held up in the protoform’s torso using a provided 4mm peg, so this can essentially be substituted using any 4mm rod cut down to size too.

To achieve the shimming effect of the main body parts, we’ve opted to use Vallejo Colorshift 77.004 Electric Blue Intense Violet, in case anyone would like to try replicating that effect.
