Description
This is a monolithic Priming handle for the Wildstyle. I've started designing it before knowing of the existence of the Shovel handle by Sillybutts, but since it keeps the smoothness of the priming rod unchanged and it's slightly smaller i've decided to keep working on it. And besides, it's another option and OPTIONS ARE GOOD! (if you get the reference you're great!).
EDIT: I'll leave the Old Plunger sections and STLs in case someone already printed them, but if you need a shock pad-less plunger i recommend you use my Chimera Plunger Head instead.
Since I had troubles sourcing the plunger pad i've also made alternate versions of the original rod and mine compatible with the older style of Plunger head used by Sillybutts (the same one as the SLAB, Cynthia, Sillypistol etc.), this could have a negligible impact on performance.
Print Settings
The handle is designed to fit on an Ender 3 printbed at a 45° angle, the settings are the same as the ones given by Sillybutts: 5 perimeters and 100% infill.
Hardware
Since it's a monolithic Priming handle it does't need the 2-1/2" long 10-32 bolt (that i've also had trouble sourcing since i live in Metricland) and the two 4-40\M3x10mm screw needed for the original priming handle.
EDIT: After some research it seems that the 10-32 bolt can be replaced by a M5x60mm button head bolt.
The OldPlunger variations need the following hardware that differs from the original:
| Hardware | Quantity | Purpose |
| M3x10 countersunk head or 4-40 screws | 2 | Screwed into the side holes of the plunger head |
| M3x14 (i've used cylinder headed ones but coutersunk also work) or whathever the imperial equivalent is | 2 | Screwed into the front holes of the plunger head |
| 3mm cross section, 29mm ID O-ring or O-Ring Dash 123 (1-3/8" Od x 1-3/16" ID) | 2 | One is used as the plunger seal and the other as plunger padding inserting it in the “teeth” at the front of the plunger in a zig-zagging fashion (refer to the Slab Guide for clarification). |
Assembly
Besides the OldPlunger variations the only difference in assembly is that with the one-piece priming handle you NEED to screw on the BackCap BEFORE inserting the rod or you will not be capable to screw the bottom screw of the cap.
If you'd like to have a completely metric Wildstyle check also my Metric BackCap.
