ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: https://youtu.be/TvtCaq9bJSI

Designed to take on defensive roles, the Heavy Weapons Mech Guard Specification is slow but can take more hits than most other mechs on the market. It is armed with a heavy weapons backpack with a quad long range missile launcher and a heavy cannon. The mech is also armed with a high powered energy cannon in lieu of a left arm (often used as a club in close combat situations).

Hello again! This last semester of college was really tough, so I'm really glad to have the time to design more mechs again. My main goal when designing this mech was to test my new knee and elbow armor design that I came up with when looking at pictures of club sandwiches (kind of embarrassed how I didn't think of it sooner). I had to modify the joints a little bit to accommodate the knee and elbow pads, but I also find it makes the elbows and knees more stable in the end. I also wanted to try creating an assembly guide video.

I admit I'm kind of out of practice on designing my mechs so some of the parts don't look like they aesthetically go together (the upper body is very boxy but the legs seem to have a rounder "Zeon" inspiration), but I'll get the hang of it again I think.

The Heavy Weapons Mech (Guard Spec) was designed with a focus on simplicity, durability, and ease of printing.

Joints are achieved through a system of 3mm pins that give just enough friction while also easily removed with pliers (for maximum strength, print these so that the long side of the pin is parallel to the build plate).

3 millimeter ports on the arms and back allow for cross compatibility with most other model kit accessories.

I hope you enjoy. Please send feedback as I may create improved versions of the figure in the future.

Depending on your printer and plastic, some light sanding and/or tightening of parts may be required. Tightening may be done via thin layers of super glue or multi-surface floor polish.
