Stern Spike 2 Expression Speaker Light ring for 5.25" speakers with built in diffuser

The advantage of this over the flat diffuser is it makes the stack thinner for fitting many types of speakers on the threaded posts. If you want 5.25 speakers with a pro kit, this also gives you the mount, and the extra  diffuser in front of the LEDs. 

Buy the Pro/Prem expression speaker lights. This gets you the 5.25" speaker bracket. 

Buy some 5.25" speakers. Alpine S-S50 ideally. If you get the Kicker CS-5, they will work but you probably want to spray paint the colored part black. For factory LE kenwoods. spray it black also. 

print this in transparent filament or resin. a little "cloudy" is what you want, can mess with layer heights. For resin, I do 10% white  to 90% clear 

carefully remove the LED strip from the plastic ring, and throw that ring away. 

put the ring into the channel of this insert, note the notch for the end. 

build the speaker stack. pretty straight forward. Follow the expression speaker light instructions.
