Easy to print Rubber band toothpick bow
You can use any toothpicks up to 2.7mm diameter (The barrel hole is 2.8mm).
Recommended rubber band dimensions = (1.5mm thick - 50mm diameter). Even larger or smaller rubber band works.
There's 4 versions:
V3 Large is concidered the standard version as this works with most office rubber bands.
V2 has smaller distance between forks so more suitable for even shorter rubber bands so i am keeping this file here.
V3 Large - Thicker rubber band has more space for thicker/flatter rubber bands - Not tested
V3 Cotton swabs has larger hole diameter so you can shoot cotton swabs with it, but it's less suitable for toothpicks.
Printing:
- 0.16-0.2 layer height is recommended
- Remove the brim after print (see pictures)
UPDATE 24/12/09 - Cotton swab model & alt model for thicker rubber bands
- Added a version with larger hole so you can shoot cotton swabs with it. More suitable for wild kids. - Hole diameter (3.5mm)
- Added a version with more space for thicker flat rubber bands - Not tested!
UPDATE 24/12/06 - Larger bow added, longer forks, more power.
- Added a larger bow version with added height to the thumb/finger grip for better ergonomics
- Forks are 20mm longer which gives most normal sized office rubber bands more power.
- Takes 30min to print
UPDATE 24/12/02
- Hole decreased from 3mm to 2.8mm to help with accuracy.
- Made minor changes to the model to make it more appealing and also made front longer to avoid finger being placed over the barrel.
- Added brim to the Rubber band brackets to connect them with the rest of the model to aid in its survival.
