Description
This is the smaller version of my Magnetic Fidget Ball.
It consists of two printed halves – simply print the provided OBJ file twice.
You will need:
14x neodymium magnets, 5 mm diameter × 2 mm high
All parts are printed with support,
but this can be limited to the smallest groove if you prefer a cleaner surface.
A brim can help with bed adhesion, though it’s not strictly required.
PLA works perfectly fine, but any filament type will do.
Insert all magnets using superglue.
⚠ Make sure they are all oriented with the same polarity.
Repeat the same for the second half, ensuring that both sides attract –
not repel – each other once assembled.
This compact design still offers the same smooth magnetic motion as its big brother –
just in a smaller, pocket-friendly form. Perfect as a desk fidget or maker gift.
Anyone who would like to support me is very welcome to buy me a beer.
