Marble Ball for Lego / Duplo / Hubelino Track

I created this simple replacement ball for the Lego/Duplo/Hubelino marble run toy systems.

The ball dimensions should be nearly identical, and you can vary the weight of the ball by including more or less infill, changing how fast the ball rolls.

Printing

Print at 0.2mm layer height or smaller. No supports required!

PLA works best, but PETG or ABS would work just fine, too.

You could even print each of the halves in different colors!

Use a flat (non-textured) bed sheet so there aren't any gaps when the ball is assembled - you want that mirror-like finish on the bottom.

Assembly

Recommended glue is fast-drying instant superglue such as Gorilla brand Super Glue (with the blue cap).

You only need a dab in each peg hole, and just a tiny drop or two along the flat surface. It should NOT leak out the sides when you press it together.

You can let it sit on a table for 30-60 minutes, or for best results, use a QuickGrip or other quick clamp to clamp the ball tightly together. This ensures the ball won't come apart when the glue cures.
