Description
The iconic Bell X-1, now in kit card form! Powered by a rocket engine, and typically launched from the belly of a B-29, the Bell X1 was an experimental craft as part of a research project between the USAF and NACA(the precursor to NASA). On October 14, 1947, piloted by Chuck Yeager, the Bell X-1 flew at Mach 1.06, breaking the sound barrier for the first time. A later revision to the X-1, the X-1A, would later break the speed record, again with Yeager at the controls, on December 12, 1953, hitting an incredible Mach 2.44.
Printing is pretty simple. .2mm layer height, infill shouldn't matter, no supports needed.
2 versions of the card exist, the normal version and the loop version. The loop version has a loop included on top if you wish to hang the completed plane. As always I've also included a version of my stand to hold the plane if that's more your speed.
As always, I hope you all enjoy, and happy printing!
