Bigger joints made to last, and easier to break free when using a larger nozzle. Or it can be made smaller with standard nozzles and still work.

The earlier comments may be correct about some of the gaps being too wide, when printing normal-sized with a normal, 0.4mm nozzle that is properly dialed-in. This is mainly for printing smaller. Or for printing faster with larger or worn-out nozzles. More forgiving for cheap FDM printers out in the wild, that are out of adjustment, etc.

• Dry filament and calibrate temperature and retraction settings.

• Layer height. The author recommends 0.16 or lower. But this one can go as high as 0.3 with variable layer height and larger, 0.5 - 0.8mm nozzles.

• A brim might help

• Add z-hop on upper layers if parts are curling up, colliding with the nozzle, and popping off the build plate.
