Description
Can you find the combination and crack the code to the safe?
This challenging toy is based on a puzzle from England during 1911: “The Great Burglar”. The solution to “open” the safe requires each of the 16 columns of numbers to add to 40 at the same time.
Print one of each of the four layers and the center piece to hold the puzzle together.
To assemble the puzzle stack the layers from largest to smallest on the spindle of the largest layer.
Then insert and twist the center piece to lock the layers onto the spindle.
The three layers of numbers above the base are the only layers that rotate. You are ready to solve the puzzle!
Print Settings:
0.2mm layers, 2 walls, 15% rectilinear infill, 5-6 top and bottom layers depending on the colors you print with(more layers for lighter colors to prevent the darker colors from showing through), I use Arachne wall generator for the cleanliness around the numbers.
Each number layer is 3mm thick, so change the filament color on the top 1mm.
I printed the model pictured with Conjure PLA+ Yellow and Conjure PLA+ Green. (not affiliate links) The green does have a slight teal shade to it which looks excellent paired with the yellow! They have great filament and ‘Free shipping on all orders in mainstream countries’. You should definitely check it out!
