Description

A sphericon is a funky-looking, smooth, and wobbly shape that’s kind of like a mix between a ball and a weird rolling polygon. If you cut a polygon in half, flip one of the halves, and glue them back together, you get the base shape of a sphericon. But it’s smoothed out so it rolls in a funny way.

This is my take on the hexasphericon! Print it out, and be mesmerized as it rolls along it's satisfying path!

Simple hexasphericon

Created from revolving a hexagon around the vertical axis, splitting it in two and rotating one half 60 degrees.

Semi-rounded hexasphericon

A simple hexasphericon with intricate pathways cutout

Rounded hexasphericon (recommended - my favorite)

A simple hexasphericon with intricate pathways cut out and then rounded

Printing It

***Print two halves and an insert.** I have provided a tight tolerance for use with well-tuned printers, and a looser option as well. it's a tiny piece, so print both and see which works better for you. ***Apply a bit of glue** (look at pictures to see how the halves are supposed to go together).
