Description
After printing my custom narrow gauge track for the LEGO mini Christmas train, I found a problem with the wheel geometry.
The wheel is so small, that the lower plate (the one below the axle plate) is lower than the track. This is no problem on straight and curved track, but at the crossover the low plates collide with the track.
I designed an updated mini wheel that has a bigger diameter. Now the train can go over the crossover without a problem.
In the photos, the original LEGO wheels are at the top, my custom wheels are at the bottom.
This model prints without support. I printed in PETG with 0.2mm layer height on Prusa MK3S with 0.4mm nozzle. The tolerances are optimized for this setup.
