Hello,
for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.
Important Notes:
- My prints take a lot of time to print. Why? First of all, to save filament, electricity price is much lower than filament price (at least in my country). Second of all - total weight, if it's to high it can damage the box and our spines :D + weight also influence vertical storage, box can open by itself,
- Clearence for holder covers is very small - 0.2mm horizontal, make sure that you have calibrated printer. In worst case - you could add like 0.2-0.4mm to cover width in the slicer,
- No lid lid / minimal lid lift - mainly because of town and map sleeves with plot + save sheets, task cards. Under pressure it should easily go into the space you have for this game on the shelf,
- I didn't include space for playmat, as I would need to ditch for example save holders and simplify card holders. Additionally, although it's very nice, with this insert I don't think the playmat is needed at all, as this insert is nicely organizing the table,
- This insert should save you a bit of table space. Additionally it should speed up setup, mission setup and teardown by a lot.
Supports:
- vertical storage,
- sleeves - it supports up to 70 microns,
- Wasenburg dockers expansion,
- Heroes Set 1 expansion,
- Heroes Set 2 expansion,
- Sculpted dices expansion,
- 2nd pack of dices - I think 3rd will also fit.
This insert features:
- Player_Components_Holder_x4 - for player components - Hero mini, deck, cubes. Features also space for equipment tokens, space for cubes is larger, so you can also store here coins and resources. You can put locked cards face up, unlocked cards face down, that way, you can easily save them between plays. This is mostly for save during campaign,
- Cards_Large_Holder - for road and town cards, enemy cards, large plot cards and task cards, it saves a bit of space on the table and keep cards organized. There is also a little space for large discarded cards, discarded task cards you can store at the enf of the space for them,
- Cards_Small_Holder - for small plot cards and enemy action cards. You can store used plot cards at the end of the space for them,
- Equipment_Holder - for equipment tiles, separated by type, each type (except range and close combat weapons) has separate space, that way you can easily find what you're looking for,
- Party_Save_Holder - for all party coins, resources, cubes and tokens, small equipment tiles,
- Setup_Holder - for 5 characters (cubes, decks, minis), block / unlock equipment tiles, sculpted dices, Witch tokens, unused large map cards + space for discarded cards. This will be mostly used only at the start of the campaign, after that it can be always left in the box (exception - sculpted dices, but maybe you can store them somewhere else),
- Resources_Holder - for coins, resource tokens and tokens needed during the “map phase” of the game,
- Combat_Holder - for tokens needed during mission (mission setup components in one compartment, effect tokens in middle compartment, wound tokens in last compartment),
- Minis_Holder(_1, _2, _3, _4) - for all the minis (except boss one, this one stays in its' small box). One of the holder also holds dices.
Map, location, task and small plot cards in use are stored in included "sleeves".
Requirements:
- about 1800g (depends on your settings, I printed with 15% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 5 top and 3 bottom layers),
- at least 223mm x 201mm print bed.
Instructions:
Supports - no supports required.
- every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times),
- if you have campaign sleeves - print __campaign_sleves version of corresponding model.
What future holds:
- I will update the insert if/when expansion comes out. Possibly it will be a full redesign to accomodate new characters, monsters, cards etc., but if there will be a new expansion - it will probably come out in next 3-4 years.
