The very nice design from concavechest over thingiverse did not work on my 1.6 box - it was too tight between box and insert and trying to push them in I ended up slightly bending by insert and damaging my box.... even so, thanks to him for sharing a good design!!

So I redesign them for 1.6 box. Note the picture is from a print I ran out of filament - so 4 corners should be round. I will reprint them all on black later.

What did I change?
Corner:
- It was hard to push the long pieces till the bottom - I had to make them thinner, so now they would not support much weight. Thus...
- I added a base so the weight will be supported on the insert.
- I removed the section holding piece in place in the corner - fit was too tight.
- I left two lips that go down a bit, 2cm away from corner, and thinner - the thicker original ones would not fit. Their purpose is to keep the pieces in position.

Mid section:
- Here reaching the bottom was possible with original model but bending the box and insert. So I...
- Used same idea, added a box section to support weight on insert.
- Made lip to hold piece in position thinner and not go all the way to the buttom.

May I say this works quite well. I will post pictures when I print - I will use the 4 corners (obviously) but also add 4 in the middle. I feel that way there is less risk the board will bend, the weight will be better distributed and that way I can put rulebook and all the paper bits on top of the board feeling there is no risk with it.

This can be print at higher layer heights - in my case 0.4 nozzle with 0.3 height. Support obviously needed for the big bridge.
