Description
If you have the PlayMonster version of Farkle, you know that the box is much larger than it needs to be for 6 dice. I wanted to make a simple container that held the dice, the scoresheet, and a pencil but then feature creep kicked in and I made a dice tower too \_(ツ)_/. The container features two sliding lids to keep the components from spilling out when not being used.
The main body requires a small amount of support in order to bridge the gap for the dice tower opening as seen in the attached screenshot (or you can try your luck with bridging). The lids don't require any support. I printed this with a 0.4mm nozzle at at layer height of 0.2mm in blue Hatchbox PLA.
--NOTE-- I've attached images of my print but I've made a few small modifications to the model since printing it. First, the mouth of the dice tower was decreased by 10mm to slim the overall design down (without affecting the dice's ability to roll through). Second, I've removed the finger hole for the pencil slot as it is unnecessary and could cause your pencil to simply fall out. Lastly, I made the lid grips (which make the lids easier to remove) slightly smaller (again to minimize the overall design footprint).
I've also attached the .f3d and .step files in case you'd like to modify the design yourself. The design is mostly parametric but admittedly a few hacks/shortcuts were tossed in at a few points.
Happy Farkling!
