I got my game second hand, and it didn't have any insert inside, so I set out to design my own, as I couldn't find any that I liked.
This insert will:
- Fit the cards with sleeves of up to 92x62mm
- Fit the base game and should easily fit all the expansions (although that'll depend on how thick your sleeves are of course)
- Hold all the cards snug so you can store your box vertically
- Fit the English version of the game. The insert dimensions are: 218.5mm x158.5mm x 48.5mm, please check if that'll fit your box before printing!
I usually keep just one laminated score sheet in the box, so I didn't accommodate any space for the score sheet block: let me know if you would like an extra space for that and I will add this option (this will take up some of the card space though)
Printing instructions:
- Please print this in PLA: it's the most sustainable option as it's non-petroleum based polymer, and you don't need any sturdier material for this.
- When importing this into Prusa Slicer, the slicer will ask whether the file should be loaded as a
single object having multiple parts: click yes to that. - Having it split into parts will allow you to save filament by setting all the base parts (Part 10-15) to have zero top and bottom layer. I usually choose honeycomb infill for this. The walls (Part 1) can be printed normally then, with top and bottom layers. you can see the result on the photos, and the settings I used below:
- Of course you can also just print it with solid bottom if that's what you prefer.
Enjoy your game!
