Magnetic Tiles | Karak, Carcassonne, Isle of Skye

This 3D-printed adapter is designed for board game tiles (45x45mm) like Karak, Carcassonne, Isle of Skye, providing a press-fit system for securely holding the tiles in place.

It features slots for 8 neodymium magnets (2x2mm) that magnetize the tiles, allowing them to attach firmly to each other and preventing the common issue of tiles shifting with accidental touches. With a low-profile design of just under 6mm, the adapter keeps the setup sleek and compact, allowing the tiles to be stored away without needing to remove the adapter. The tiles can be removed at any time and do not require glue for either the tiles or the magnets.

The magnets should be inserted so that adjacent ones have opposite polarities, allowing them to attract and stick together.

The model is meant to be printed with a layer height of 0.3mm.

UPDATER VERSION: LATERAL MAGNETS
The second iteration moves the magnets to the side in order to have stronger bonds with other tiles. Calibration need to be performed on your machine in order to press fit the magnets. This time the magnets are visible. If you do not like this stick with v1 instead.
