Description
Replace the existing short knob for the petcock on this CBR250RR MC22 with this one and now can then reach it with gloves on whilst riding the bike and select the reserve when we hear it splutter as well as turn off the fuel to let the carbies run dry when we park it so they don't gum up.
Printed in Elegoo HF PETG on Bambu X1C. At 15% infill with 3 walls. I added a modifier of 100% infill for the bottom 20mm so that it's as strong as possible around the square extrusion. Use Tree supports on Auto in Orcaslicer to support the center hole.
Use the existing screw you will need a long (100mm+ Phillips P1) to tighten the screw. We used some loctite on the screw so it all stays put.
CAD files also included so you can modify if you know FreeCAD. Lots of use of datum planes so with a little bit of thought you can do things like make it longer / shorter if you wish. Biggest challenge is to ensure you have 3mm of meat for the screw to bite into … 1mm of that is a countersunk with a large taper .. not a flat bottom.
I received feedback these can snap after a while so I strengthened it and printed with 5 layered walls. Version 2 files for the upgraded part.
