Well, it's a cup that receives various quantities and types of dice that are put in said cup and shaken.

It is generally held in one hand whilest the other hand positions itself over the top opening. This position is needed because it prevents the dice, which are inside, from flying out and into into a bowl of soup, which is not inside. Or worse into an adult beverage. The dangers are endless.

Because of the nature of this procedure, which can appear "exciting" or "violent" even, it is commonly recommended by professional "Dicers", that you acquire safety spectacles whenever occupying an area of play around "The Original Obligatory Dice Cup", or any variant of it.
