Description
This mini basketball hoop is amazing! A great gift for fans of basketball and other sports, this desk ornament is a must-have. It's designed to match NBA standards and requirements, scaled down to the mini version.
Print Instructions:
Base:
Printing is straightforward. Make sure, upon slicing, that the infill extends up into the post. Some types of infill do not. I used overture PETG, standard settings.
Backboard:
Printing is straightforward here too. Print with the backboard on its back and pause for a color change if desired. I printed with overture PLA, standard settings.
Net:
This piece is a little complicated, being so intricate. Print the net with the rim on the build plate. Pause the print after the rim if color difference is desired. I have printed it several times with .4mm nozzle and standard settings and it has not failed even once; however, I have not figured out a good way to get rid of the stringing, which can be severe. If you have a .2mm, this would be a good time to use it. Printed with overture PLA, standard settings.
Assembly is simple and intuitive. Be careful when inserting the net into the backboard; it is fragile. You may need to shave down the insert if tolerances are off.
I'd love to see your color combinations in the comments!
