Catan Number Token Box - Print-in-Place - No Supports - 7 Capacities

UPDATE 2026-01-04:     I added a 44mm capacity box. Apparently, the French version of Catan has number tokens that are a bit thicker.

UDATE 2025-11-23:     In response to a request, I created an additional size with 25mm capacity, which holds a few more tokens than the 61mm model.

These are holders for Settlers/Seafarers of Catan number tokens. They come in seven sizes or capacities (the quantity of tokens that each will hold depends on the thickness of your number tokens – over the years the thickness has varied). They are print-in-place and require virtually no post processing (other than working the hinge a few times). They are lightweight, but sturdy. 

The capacities/sizes (referring to the height of a stack of tokens) are: 66mm, 61mm, 44mm, 42mm, 38mm, 25mm & 16mm (which is a small holder for older, thin seafarers expansion tokens, to keep them separate). Measure your stack of tokens to determine the best size match.

The models are laid out in the proper printing orientation. I suggest printing with 100% infill.

After printing, the hinge may be a little stiff, or partially stuck together. Simple hold the model in an upright orientation bend down the pieces on the side while pushing up on the hinge in the middle, and this will break free the mechanism. Open and close the lid a few times and it should function well.

This design is a hybrid of those two designs, and uses ~31% less filament than the original design, and 18% less filament than the streamlined version, while incorporating positive features of both previous models.

I think I have finally reached a final design. :D
