Description
The Concorde was a supersonic passenger airplane developed by Britain and France. It first flew in 1969 and began commercial service in 1976. Known for its sleek design and incredible speed, the Concorde could fly at over twice the speed of sound (Mach 2), reducing flight time between London and New York to about 3.5 hours. Despite its advanced technology, the Concorde was expensive to operate and noisy. After a crash in 2000 and rising costs, it was retired in 2003. Today, the Concorde remains a symbol of innovation and luxury in aviation history.
