Description

Wanna print a high powered compliant blaster that is (almost) only 1 piece? You're in the right place.

We remixed the toothpick gun to turn it into a blaster you can print and have fun with at home (but dear god please use eye protection).

There are two versions here.

1. The 7 Metre Per Second Version: This one is the most reliable, it has a max range of just shy of 7 metres with a muzzle velocity of 7m/s. It is really easy to use and really easy to print. You will need to print this in PETG. Our own 3DJake easyPETG works really well but we encourage you to try others and report back with results.

2. The 8 Metre Per Second Version: Pretty similar to the first with the obvious improvement in speed. This one starts to wear after prolonged shooting however so don't expect this one to last as long as the first version.

Parts to print and settings
There are three parts to print. The Blaster, the firing pin and the dart. The firing pin just slots in to the spring mechanism, no need for glue, it is a pretty tight fit. Print all parts with at least 4 walls, 10% infill is enough and recommend 0.2mm layer height. There is only a tiny bit of support needed in the at the front where the muzzle is.

Use
Cock it with the charging handle, insert the dart in the muzzle and hold it in place at the back with your thumb, aim, pull trigger.

Troubleshooting
If your blaster snaps then you need to increase the flow rate or layer width or both. Recommend doing a flow rate test for your filament if you haven't already.

If you do print it please consider posting a make noting which filament you used and the max range you achieved! Fire it level at torso height and measure to where it hit the ground first.

There is a lot that can be improved here, we'd love to do this in the future but it would be cool if people do their remixes too. We'd love to see what you can create!!
